Cuna de Piedra Reserve is positioned as the estate’s more prestigious, barrel-influenced tier, and the 2021 Tannat leans into varietal intensity: dark fruit, spice, and that unmistakable, sculpted Tannat grip—powerful, but polished.

Appearance:
Deep, inky ruby-purple with a dark core and vivid stained-glass rim. 

Aroma:
Ripe black plum, blackberry and black cherry, lifted by violet and dried herb notes, then layers of baking spice, cocoa and a faint earthy/mineral tone. 

Taste:
Dry and full-bodied, with dense dark-fruit concentration and a firm, authoritative tannin frame. A portion of oak maturation brings extra breadth and spice, while the remainder raised in cocciopesto/cement “tulips” and clay amphorae keeps the palate precise and savoury rather than sweetly oaky. 

Finish:
Long, dry and persistent—dark berries and spice tapering into a gravelly, food-friendly grip. 

Food Pairing:
Chargrilled steak, slow-cooked lamb shoulder, smoked paprika sausages, rich tomato-based pastas, or hard aged cheeses; also excellent with dark chocolate (high cacao).
