Hybrid seedling plant in a 100mm pot. Near flowering size.

Purple Doll (Slc. Pink Doll x Lc. Mini Purple) 'Midnight Velvet' has an intense magenta-purple colour. It blooms 3-4 times a year (it really does!) Its flowers are flat and of excellent shape on a small plant standing just 5” tall.  The shape and the colour of the flowers of Diana's Rubies (Pot. Memoria Irene Feil x Pot. Lebenkreis) gets high marks, and with a strong inflorescence displaying 3-4 flowers above the foliage, makes this a good candidate to breed with Slc. Purple Doll.  Here, the goal is for 7-8” tall plants with 2-3 flowers being produced twice a year. The plants will start blooming in 3” pots and mature in 4” pots.  The flowers will be flat, with deep red-purple segments, and dark burgundy lips.
