The limited edition Matra Mini Backpack was made in a collaboration with the iconic Ykra (pronounced eek-rah) brand. Founded by designer Balázs Lakatos from the basement of a bar in downtown Budapest in 2011, with the goal of creating a vintage style hiking backpack for everyday use.  

Inspired by 1970s mountaineering gear, the MATRA MINI is our flagship model that started it all. Crafted from heavy cotton canvas and premium Italian leather, it offers a vintage feel with modern functionality. We designed it for everyday use with repairability in mind, and named it after the highest peak in Hungary, the Mátra.

Comfortable Carry: Soft felt lining on the leather straps.

Organised Storage:  Inner laptop compartment fits a 13" Ultrabook or MacBook Air, with two smaller pockets and a zippered pocket in the top flap.

Secure Closure: Adjustable rope and two leather straps with metal buckles.

Handcrafted in Hungary from the finest materials:

- Natural vegetable-tanned leather from Italy

- 100% wool felt from Germany
