It was made under the creative direction of Karl Lagerfeld.

It has the most incredible and innovative fabrication. The fabric label has it as a mix of a polyester, linen, paper, silk and viscose and it is unlike anything I have seen before. It is a real testament to how much he pushed fabrication.

The dress is cut in a nod to the mod sixties silhouette.

Big handmade cellophane looking buttons close it down the front. Each is a dome with a little gold double C logo on it on the bottom edge.

I love the bib effect at the front.

The dress is fully covered in sequins whose colours range from gold, pink, pale green and blue, depending on how the light hits them. It is like a mermaid fee

Fully lined in a Chanel Camellia flower embossed ivory silk except for just behind the buttons where it is the same fabric as the exterior edges. It closes down the front with the buttons that you see. Under that there are a series of hidden set snaps and mother-of-pearl buttons. There are two little hidden pockets that sit on either side at the front.
