The inspiration for this collection came twofold: first, my late father's volume with the title The Book of Insults, and the award-winning book by my good friend, Prof. Joselito "Jowie" de los Reyes, titled iStatus Nation. Another is The Writng Life, a collection of quotes by established authors on the field of literature. I've always wanted to catch and collect all those pebbles, Maltesers and, well, bits of virtual chicken poop I posted on Facebook. I feel that one can actually put together a book-size "library" with sufficient space for squiggles with these posts. It's the in-thing today, and so why not indulge in it as an author? But then again, a corpus of a little over 50,000 words is no easy feat for someone suffering from insomnia, arthritis and a fetish for cats.
