As I've often written, I've got a special love for a red cross, which I find the most perfect logo ever designed, formally and symbolically. And it seems quite right, formally and metaphorically, on a much battered khaki drawstring bag, WW1 I believe. (I'm not 100% sure about that, but a little research seems to indicate that the specific red cross patch here is WW1 rather than WW2.) Looks like a combination of little moth bites and a couple of larger holes, along with a mix of stains, and a lost end to one of the laces of the double drawstring top (still cinches closed fine), but I find all the more beautiful for its aged and battered state.
