EFFECT: You display a clear plastic board with two vertical columns. One side has numbered slots from one through five. The audience can see straight through the frame, so nothing is hidden.

You show a set of green printed ESP cards. The cards are displayed openly, mixed, and then placed face down into the right side of the frame, one card in each numbered position. Everyone can see the locations of the cards because the frame is transparent, but no one can see their faces.

Next you hand the spectator a matching set of black ESP cards. They shuffle their cards and spread them face down on the table. One at a time, the spectator tells you exactly which card to pick up and exactly which numbered slot they want it placed into. You follow their instructions honestly.

When all five of their cards are in the frame, you give them complete control. If they want to change any positions, they can. If they want the One card in the Three slot and the Three card in the One slot, you make the switch. They can rearrange as much as they like until they are completely satisfied.

Only then do you turn the frame around. The impossible is revealed.
Every one of the spectator’s cards matches the position of every one of your cards. All five are perfect matches. The cards were visible the entire time. There are no switches. The effect is extremely easy to perform and requires no skill.
