Yucca Canes need a lot of bright, indirect light. Water it thoroughly until water is running out of the bottom of the pot, then ignore it until the plant dries out completely. They are native to parts of Mexico and prefer a drier environment. Make sure to not overwater! Best to treat them similar to a cactus to avoid rotting.

The stem of the Yucca Cane contains a small amount of toxic chemicals that can cause irritation and vomiting if your pet were to chew into the stem and eat large chunks of it.
