The original Herman Miller Eames Molded Plywood Coffee Table was designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1946. The lightweight coffee table features a thin, slightly indented top and gently curved legs.

In their search for a better way, Charles and Ray Eames developed an innovative technique for moulding plywood. The process allowed them to bend wood furniture in new directions and give hard materials a softer look. The Moulded Plywood Coffee Table (1946) is yet another embodiment of that technology.

This table makes a strikingly simple centrepiece in any space. Available in natural wood and walnut veneer, its round, slightly indented top and curved wood legs are an eloquent example of the early Eames design.
