Another of a handful of 19th c. punch paper embroideries I'm listing today, all of which came from one huge ephemera collection. This is the first "Mitzpah" I've come across - Hebrew for "watchtower," and meaning, essentially, "may God watch over you." As I've learned, it came into popular use  in the Victorian era, as a sentiment express remembrance in absence. I love the all capitals declaration here, and added cross, composed of two cut strips of perforated paper, at far right. 

11” l; embroidery 4 3/8” x 2. Center embroidery in excellent condition. A bit of paper loss to the cross, but well attached.
