Coxofemoral Joint, 7 Parts - Anatomy and Pathology

This model illustrates the right coxofemoral joint in a male; various muscles are visible, as well as the distal and proximal muscle insertion areas of the femur and ilium. For didactic purposes, the muscle surfaces of the distal and proximal areas are raised and colored differently (distal insertion = red; proximal insertion = blue). The various hip muscles are arranged on the respective surfaces of their distal and proximal insertions, which will allow them to be removed.
