ABEC 3: A standard value used to measure the surface tolerance of roller bearings. There are five classes: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. The higher the ABEC class, the greater the precision, efficiency, and speed capacity, but the highest ABEC classes are not necessarily the fastest-rotating components. All quality manufacturers worldwide use at least ABEC 1 as the standard. For Enduro, the minimum standard is ABEC 3. ABEC 3: Steel balls, Grade 10. The track is made of an alloy of chromium 52100 and high-quality carbon. ABEC 3 standard. Depending on their application, these bearings use LLU or LLB seals, even when marked 2RS. LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber seal with a metal core. Unlike the standard 2RS, we go a step further by machining a groove into the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with excellent efficiency and resistance compared to a lesser bearing. Rather than a single, thick seal "lip" that rubs against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses two seal lips, fine as a razor blade, that slide into a groove with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps out water and impurities, while the inner seal retains the grease for smooth rotation and long service intervals.
