What the Charon brings

• Thick clay walls distribute heat evenly and prevent scorching even on longer sessions.
• Handmade and hand-painted in Ukraine — each bowl is a unique piece, not a factory run.
• Glazed finish resists moisture absorption and limits ghosting between flavour changes.
• Red clay and faience mix provides excellent heat retention — denser than straight clay.
• Kaloud Lotus, Provost, and standard foil all seat cleanly on the rim.
• 10–15 g capacity suits both light and dark shisha blends.

Setting up the bowl

• Pack shisha to just below the rim — fluffy for blonde leaf, denser for dark.
• Foil with pierced holes, or drop your HMD on top.
• Two or three natural charcoal cubes, allow 3–5 minutes for the clay to heat through.
• Adjust heat by rotating or lifting coals as the session progresses.

Care

• Cool fully before handling.
• Soak in warm water for 10–15 minutes to loosen residue.
• Gentle soft brush — no abrasive scourers.
• Rinse thoroughly and air dry.
• Rotate between bowls if you own multiple — it extends their working lifespan.

Faience is a tin-glazed earthenware — traditionally used for its heat behaviour and visual finish. Blended with red clay, it gives the Charon slightly different heat retention compared to a pure red clay bowl.
