This one came out of the same collection as the Shipibo bowls I've just listed and several of the folk art face carvings, too--this one a contemporary piece by artist Jenny Mendes, of Chesterland, Ohio, but clearly drawing on many precedents! I found it (them!) holding a whole bunch of teaspoons, and it maybe should again, but maybe forks too, facing in the opposite direction! Great faces, and with a strong presence.
