Autumn is a blend of woodiness, smoky and warming, reminiscent of bonfires or well seasoned wood burning on an open fire. No mists and mellow fruitfulness here, the candle simply conjures up memories of the contrasting sensations of woody warmth and cold air, glowing embers and crisp falling leaves. As with all 'woody' candles that I create, the scent when the candle is burning is slightly softer than when you're sniffing it cold in the tin. I love using this in our live-in conservatory where we don't have a wood burning stove - it leaves the room feeling far cosier.

The label image is of the Gwaun Valley, one of our favourite autumn walks, with the endless range of colourful, crunchy leaves underfoot and on the trees above. 

The essential oils in this candle are:

Cade: woody, dry and smoky, it promotes a sense of calm and is grounding

Cedarwood:  releasing  tension, mood-lifting, cleansing air 

Grapefruit: balances the depths of the woody oils in this blend with its uplifting and citrus nature

Cypress: slightly spicy, woody and nutty, it is soothing and relaxing

Nutmeg: sharp, spicy and musky, lifting the spirits 

All our candles are made only of sustainable plant waxes and pure essential oils - this means they are all-natural, vegan and are paraffin and palm oil free. They do not contain any artificial colouring. They come in tins because tinplate is infinitely recyclable, whereas many glass containers aren’t recyclable.
