To take advantage of the additional travel offered by the RXT Rear Suspension System, ICON engineers developed a complete replacement for the factory leaf springs after addressing limitations discovered during the R&D process. The result is a user-adjustable, multi-rate leaf pack designed to deliver a significant performance improvement across a wide range of Toyota Tacoma setups. Features such as tip inserts and leaf separators help reduce friction and increase ride comfort, while a military-wrapped front eyelet improves overall durability and strength. The spring rate has been slightly lowered to enhance ride quality and increase droop travel. For vehicles equipped with added weight such as bed racks, rooftop tents, spare tires, or other accessories, the included add-a-leaf can be installed or swapped to increase the spring rate by approximately 10 percent or 20 percent to better support heavily outfitted trucks.
