WatchGuard AuthPoint is a multi-factor authentication (MFA) service that requests additional proof of identity before granting users access to a protected resource. Cloud based deployment and management in combination with mobile authenticators for both Android and iOS allows businesses to protect their assets from unauthorised assets.

AuthPoint is used to securely authenticate users via the app on their smartphone in three different ways:

• Push-Base Authentication: see who is trying to authenticate and where, approve or block access with just one touch
• QR Code-Based Authentication: read a unique, encrypted QR code and type in a response to finalise authentication
• Time-Based One-Time Password (OTP): retrieve a time-based, one-time password to enter during login

AuthPoint is a stand-alone service and can be deployed with or without a WatchGuard Firebox or wireless access point.
