The Strip-Stripe Dot Tee is Johannesburg-based designer Lezanne Viviers’ reimagined version of Good Good Good’s Strip-Stripe T-Shirt, a garment made of offcuts from the brand’s heritage manufacturing facility’s regular T-shirt production runs. The Strip-Stripe upcycling project is the latest strategy that Good Good Good has found to curb textile waste.
For the collaboration, VIVIERS cut out a dot in the middle of the T-shirt and twisted it, and added the brand’s signature black transparent silk organza to the sleeves and body of the tee, as well as a neon nylon roll neck. This T-shirt is cut in the shape of Good Good Good’s Heavy T-Shirt in a size 2XL, but made to be free size in the case of this T-shirt.
Each of the five editions of this T-shirt is cut from a 100% Southern African-sourced cotton single-jersey textile, and handmade in Good Good Good’s 30-year-old heritage manufacturing facility in Woodstock, Cape Town.
