Uses
This combination product is used for the temporary relief of cough, sneezing, or runny nose due to the common cold, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies. This product contains a non-narcotic cough suppressant (such as chlophedianol, dextromethorphan). It affects a certain part of the brain (cough center) to help you stop coughing. This product also contains an antihistamine (such as triprolidine, chlorpheniramine, doxylamine) that works by blocking the effects of a certain natural substance (histamine), which causes allergy symptoms. It also has a drying effect. Talk with your doctor before using this product for a chronic cough from smoking or a cough with too much/thick mucus.

SUITABILITY

Vicks Formula 44 is suitable for both adults and kids above 6 years of age. For kids below 6 years old, please consult a doctor.

DOSAGE INSTRUCTIONS

For adults and kids 12 years old +, use 2 teaspoonsful (10 mL) per dose. For kids 6 - 11 years old, use 1 teaspoonful (5mL) per dose. For those below 6 years old, please consult a doctor. Repeat every 6 to 8 hours as needed but no more than 4 doses a day.

It is advisable to follow the recommended dosage guideline stated in pack. Please seek medical attention immediately if patient is overdosed. Do not use in persistent/chronic cough that occurs with smoking, emphysema, asthma or if the cough is accompanied with excessive mucous. Do not take without asking a doctor if you take prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitors or within two weeks after stopping the use of such drugs
