Collection. This hand-knotted wool antique-washed vintage Persian
Azerbaijan runner features alternating stepped and rectangular medallions
across an abrashed blue field. The serrated-edged stepped medallions feature
interior lobed medallions with diamond and trefoil pendants, while the
rectangular medallions feature a diamond border and interior eight-pointed
stars. Additional stars, which represent happiness and spirituality, in various
sizes are scattered throughout the field. Stylized calyx meander guard borders
flank a cruciform meander main border. With its bold geometric designs and soft
muted colors, this versatile Persian runner would suit a wide variety of
interiors. Rendered in variegated shades of light yellow, ocher, chartreuse,
almond, champagne, beige, ecru, tan, black, coffee, sienna, peach, muted
celadon, pale baby blue, pink, stone gray, greige and lavender-gray undertones.
