This antique Peking rug showcases a beautiful Chinese Art Deco
style. It has a circular shaped central medallion made up of floral vines and
sparse sprays of flowers frame the medallion in a hexagonal shape. The
spandrels in each corner feature a bracket of spiraling vines and pointed
blooms. It is framed with a single border of almond shaped leaves and flower
blossoms on a contrasting background. Rendered in variegated hues of cobalt
blue, muted coral-red, sky blue, and golden cream. Impeccably woven from
hand-knotted from wool and blending haute deco with Old World, this antique Peking rug embodies the glamorous style of the early 1920s Art Deco
