A marriage of old and new world textile treatments and technologies are seen in this handsome vintage Uzbek chapan paired with a romantic modern digital art print.  The bodice of this coat is a textured weave of silk and cotton upcycled vintage Uzbek chapan.

Chapans are from Central Asia and worn over clothes, usually during the cold winter months, and are traditionally worn by men.  These coats are adorned with intricate threading and come in a variety of colors and patterns.  This vintage chapan has an elegant palette of forest moss green with royal red, black, gold, vintage creamy white vertical stripes.  The bodice is fully lined with vintage abstract star pattern in navy and white cotton.  The lower half of this coat is a festive digital print of kaleidoscope imagery of leopard print, more stripes, and beautiful magenta kissed pink and purple flowers floating atop prints.  It has a very painterly and bohemian feel.  The skirt fabric is a sumptuous synsilk/rayon blend with a lot of movement.  Two buttons with CZ centers plus vintage tie for closure at waist.  Size LARGE with 48" chest.  Please note this is an upcycled vintage Uzbek chapan upper with character and perfect "imperfections" seen on textile.
