Crafted by Ignaz and Elisabeth Niedrist, Lagrein Berger Grei Riserva embodies the essence of the region. Post-war challenges may have momentarily paused production, but the late 1980s and early 1990s saw a revival of the winery, focusing on creating top-notch regional wines. Their dedication shines through in every bottle, with a meticulous approach that includes low yields, precise grape selection based on vineyard characteristics, and a hands-off cellar technique for an authentic expression of each grape variety.

Hand-harvested and meticulously crafted, this Lagrein undergoes three weeks of maceration in open oak vats, followed by 12-14 months of aging in a blend of barriques and large oak barrels. The result is a wine of deep ruby color, marrying dark berries with subtle earthy notes and velvety tannins.
